Catacombs/Necropolis Leveling Guide (Newbie-Friendly)

  • Why Hunt Here?

    • High EXP until Lv74-76
    • Great Adena source
    • Dense mobs = efficient farming

    Must-Do First

    1. Check if you can register at the Seven Signs Status.
    2. Register with Priest of Dawn in Giran (/target Dawn) (Mostly)
    3. Choose any Seal (Avarice/Gnosis)
    4. Talk to Ziggurat and Statue NPCs at dungeon entrances for quests

    Loot to Know

    • Seal Stones → Exchange for Ancient Adena at Priests
    • Ancient Scrolls → Trade to Ziggurat for Blank Scrolls
    • Dimensional Fragments → Used for Hero Rift later (Hero Rift needs one other party member, dimensional fragments and can get you Lifestones in a specific room in Hero Rift in the Dimensional Rift)

    Tips

    • Higher floors = more competition (be ready to fight or move)
    • Mammon merchants appear in Giran during Reward Week (anyone can use)

Leveling Zones

Below you will see Hunting Zone and it's corresponding Territory.

Access Maria for Teleport > Town and Villages > Select the Corresponding Territory you want to farm in.

Hunt outside of villages until Level 7, keep in mind the Levels are Hunting Zone levels, not when you should leave / hunt. You will deal one damage to monsters if the level of your skills is not sufficient.

If you think you are getting low experience, move to a higher spot.

Levels 12-25

If you have 30k-60k, buy Wooden Set (Fighters) or Devotion Set (Mages) in Starter Villages.

  • 12-18: Ruins of Despair - Gludio
  • 15-20: Ruins of Agony - Gludio
  • 20-25: Abandoned Camp - Gludin
    • Kill outside, inside, or on mountain lines

Levels 23-33

  • 23-30: Partisan's Hideaway - Dion
    • Hills & mountain spots available
      • Higher HP (and better EXP) mobs further you go to the top
  • 27-33:
    • Forgotten Temple - Gludin
      • Higher HP (and better EXP) mobs deeper inside
    • Ant Nest - Gludio
      • Higher HP (and better EXP) mobs deeper inside

      • 4S opens 5 minutes before the hour: you need 4 in party and everybody needs Sepulcher Keys you can earn it by hunting in Imperial Tomb with Relics of the Old Empire Quest
      • Killing Archon of Halisha allows you to skip 700 Mobs Quest for 3rd Class Change Quest

Levels 78-85

Important Quests

Do Noblesse Quest and Subclass Quests as soon as possible, they are major milestones in your character's progression. Common misconception is that subclass quests give some sort of passive or active skills for Main Class, they don't in Interlude.

For Subclass Quests, you don't need to stab Baium (Buy Pipette Knife at Maria) and you don't need a Top B-Grade Weapon + B Grade Crystals, you can skip that part for later.

For Noblesse Quest on Barakiel, you can earn fragments of the staff by hitting Barakiel once. Earn 15 fragments and turn it into the full Staff to progress the quest. Make sure to not die and be close to the boss. You don't have to be on your subclass to earn Barakiel Fragments, you can be on your main class.
